The objectives of this study were; determine current attitudes and preferences of Colorado users toward recreation opportunities, evaluate changing attitude and preferences of Colorado River users, and evaluate commonality and disparity of current user attitudes and preferences regarding proposed management directions. Data were collected in two phases; the first phase assessed current stakeholder issues related to recreation within the Colorado River ecosystem and the second phase assessed user attitudes based on surveys conducted from fall 1998 through spring 1999.
