Problems of providing adequate water supplies in Saipan must have arrived soon after the expansion of activities beyond the subsistence level. Water resources of the island are not readily observable because in large measure they consist of groundwater. This report covers the following topics: a review of groundwater investigations and reports, elements of hydrology and geology of Saipan, groundwater occurrence, aquifer classification, and groundwater conditions by sector and system.
