Assateague Island National Seashore, Lichen Survey 2000

Field work was conducted over one day in October 2000 at the barrier island section of Assateague Island National Seashore, Maryland in order to conduct a floristic survey of the island’s lichen flora. A total of twenty-seven species were collected, consisting of a total of six liverwort species and twenty-one moss species with no hornwort species being represented.
