This report is a natural resource management plan for Timpanogos Cave National Monument. The objectives of the plan are as follows: 1. Evaluating and mitigating the effects of human use and other factors on the cave environment. 2. Prevention of cave formation discoloration and damage. 3. Developing methods of cleaning cave formations without damaging them. 4. Providing adequate protection of the cave during periods when tours are not being conducted. 5. Providing for a pleasant, safe visitor enjoyment of the American Fork Canyon without impairing the local ecosystem. 6. Managing riverbanks to reduce the possibility of flooding and continued damage from erosion. 7. Reestablishing and maintaining vegetative ground cover in picnic areas and along river banks where it has been damaged by overuse. 8. Gather adequate baseline ecological information on the cave to meet National Park Service standards in preservation and management of natural areas.
