Andrew GM and Cronin ML. 1998. Juvenile Salmonid Population Monitoring Report Lagunitas Creek, Marin County, California, Fall 1997
Marin Municipal Water District staff conducted an electrofishing survey for coho salmon and steelhead trout in Lagunitas Creek, San Geronimo Creek, and Devil's Gulch. A total of 541 juvenile coho were captured from all sites during our survey and this study estimates a population of 16,962 juvenile coho in the system. A total of 1,309 juvenile steelhead trout were captured. This study estimates a population between 47,000 and 53,000 juvenile steelhead trout in the Lagunitas Creek system. This study found that populations of steelhead and coho are keeping with the overall upward trend of salmonid populations within the Lagunitas Creek system.
