This survey was undertaken to improve the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission's knowledge of T and E species and their potential habitats on park properties in order to reduce time spent by Heritage staff reviewing management proposals for these sites. The second objective of this survey was to locate and evaluate exemplary areas of natural vegetation, as such data are incomplete for most properties in the park system. Finally, management recommendations are made for dealing with threats to natural plant communities to enhance their quality for the native species within them, including threatened and endangered species.
