Postglacial Environments in the Canadian Rocky Mountains
Heusser CJ. 1956. Postglacial Environments in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Ecological Monographs. 26(4):263-302
This present work was undertaken to gather conclusive data on the postglacial environments of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The fundamental purpose was to establish the time-variation relations of representative glaciers and to describe the microfossil and macrofossil statigraphy of the peat deposits. The secondary objective was to show whatever correlations exist with available data from northwestern North America. Preliminary results of this research program have already been reported by Field and Heusser (1954) and Heusser (1954 b&c)
