A scientific permit is requested and approved to determine if fish populations in Prairie Creek have recovered from HWY 101 bypass alignment project. The study will have special emphasis on the infiltration of sediment fines (mudslides), which was deposited into Prairie Creek during an October storm. Studies include adult trapping, spawning surveys, juvenile trapping with rotary screw traps, and electrofishing.
