Priapulus caudatus Lam. has been collected at twelve locations off the Pacific Coast of North America, from Tomales Bay, California, to the Chukchi Sea, Alaska. The depth from which the animals were collected varies from 293 m to less than 1 m (bottom exposed at low tide). Substrates, where recorded, include silt, mud, sand and gravel. A total of 35 specimens are here recorded, with a maximum of 13 from any one locality. Sizes of specimens are indicated.
