Pacific pilot whales (G. macrorhynchus Gray) were active consistently in 2 discrete localities in southeastern Alaska. Three whales were active in 1 site at the mouth of Glacier Bay, and 2 at 2 sites at the southern mouth of the Wrangell Narrows, in the summer of 1977. These whales have not been recorded in these sites annually. Other records from southeastern Alaska are given. A suggestion is made that previously disallowed literature reports from the coast of British Columbia [Canada] might be valid.
