Field work was conducted over one day in October, 2000 at ASIS in order to conduct a floristic survey of the island's lichen flora. Ninety-one specimens were collected and archived in the ASIS herbarium. These contributed to a known total of 36 taxa identified to species and an additional four species identified to genus only for ASIS (MD end only). An additiional two taxa identified to species and one identified to genus are known from the NPS headquarters on the mainland.
