Field work was conducted from July 2000 through December 2000 at the Assateague Island National Seashore, Maryland in order to conduct a floristic survey of the island's bryophyte flora. A total of 27 species were collected consisting of a total of 6 liverwort species and 21 moss species, with no hornwort species being represented.
