Beginning in August 1986, the U.S. Geological Survey began a hydrologic and hydraulic investigation of the Resurrection River at Bridge 1390 near Seward, Alaska. Data-collection efforts were intensified at the bridge and along Exit Glacier road following the storm and resulting severe flooding of October 10-11, 1986. Included here is a summary and discussion of the various types of data collected: water discharge and velocity, water-surface elevations, and cross-sectional streambed profiles.
