This inventory and assessment was commissioned by the Shoshone Field Office, Bureau of Land Management. Craters of the Moon is jointly managed by NPS and BLM. An extensive inventory of the shrubsteppe vegetation was carried out in Laidlaw Park, Little Park, and Paddleford Flat. The study was intended to provide resource managers with an improved understanding of the vegetation communities and their ecological condition, and to assist in identifying management needs.
