This informational article warns the public to not eat the fish in Pago Pago Harbor, American Samoa. A study initiated by the American Samoa Environmental Protection Agency, shows that the fish were seriously contaminated by heavy metals, pesticides and PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls). As a result of this study, the American Samoa Government issued a public health advisory in 1991.
