No bear research was conducted in 1999. "Black bear management in 1999 focused on: 1) Two meetings of the RNSP bear panel, 2) Information notices and maintenance to bear proof park visitor resources, 3) Education programs, and 4) Funding proposals submitted to finish bear-proofing visitor resources." Bear incidents and fiscal year 2000 priorities are included. Attached are the Bear Panel minutes from April and December 1999, and a summary of bear incidents at Jedediah Smith Campground during August-September 1999.
