"Black bear management in 1998 focused on: 1) Two meetings of the RNSP bear panel, 2) Placing signs created with updated Bear Guidelines at visitor use sites, 3) Education programs, 4) placement of new bear-proof trash containers at visitor use sites." Bear incidents and fiscal year 1999 priorities are included. Attachments include the Bear Panel minutes and a printout of the 1998 bear observations from the wildlife observations database.
