Species boundaries within the Acropora humilis species group (Cnidaria; Scleractinia): a morphological and molecular interpretation of evolution
Wolstenholme JK, Wallace CC, Chen CA. 2003. Species boundaries within the Acropora humilis species group (Cnidaria; Scleractinia): a morphological and molecular interpretation of evolution. Coral Reefs. 22:155-166
This study examines the evolutionary boundaries of species in the Acropora humilis species group. In January 1999, field work was conducted in American Samoa. Samples were taken from seven sites on the islands of Tutuila, Ofu, and Olosega. Each site was searched for morphs of the A. humilis species group from a depth of approximately 20 m up to the reef flat. Includes map of sampling sites, tables, table listing morphs descriptions, and photo of morphs.
