The objective of this project was to provide an inventory of bat species occurring in the vicinity of Columbia's Line 1278 in Northampton, Monroe, and Pike Counties, PA. Eight hundred bats of seven species were captured during the 44-night project. Six trap sites (#8, 15, 16, 19, 20, and 22)were located within Delaware Water Gap NRA. Six species were captured: little brown bat (Myotis lucifugus), northern long-eared bat (M. septentrionalis), eastern small-footed bat(M. leibii), big brown bat (Eptesicus fuscus), eastern red bat (Lasiurus borealis), and eastern pipistrelle (Pipistrellus subflavus).
