Night lighting, accompanied by a vociferous approach and using stout, light-weight, short-handed nets and a specially equipped four-wheel-drive truck, has proved highly effective in netting black-tailed jackrabbits (Lepus californicus) in south-central Idaho. Four-man crews averages 4-8 captures per hour; seven-man crews averaged 10-16 captures per hour.
