Alaska-Yukon waterfowl breeding population survey: May 14 to June 5, 2004

Conant B and Groves DJ. 2004. Alaska-Yukon waterfowl breeding population survey: May 14 to June 5, 2004. US Fish and Wildlife Service

Alaska and the Yukon Territory generally experience a widespread, record setting early spring breakup, except for the North Slope and the Old Crow Flats where perhaps more normal phenology occurred. There was very little flooding along the major rivers. This combination will generally favor waterfowl production in Alaska.
