This is a discussion of the nesting behavior of peregrine falcons (Falco peregrinus anatus) in West Texas and elsewhere in the Chihuahuan Desert. A total of 24 known peregrine territories are listed for the Chihuahuan Desert, an area with a high eyrie density, and 6 nesting pairs have been observed in West Texas. The report includes details of occupancy and productivity of each eyrie, evaluations of the habitat which the peregrines are utilizing, information on their exposure to DDT, and recommendations for management of the Texas population
