Steller sea lion (Eumetopias jubatus) rookeries and haulouts throughout Southeast Alaska (SEA) were surveyed during May, June-July, and August to observe branded Steller sea lions (SSL), estimate numbers of animals on shore, and record entanglements. Haulouts and rookeries were surveyed from Glacier Bay in the north to the Forrester Island complex near the U.S. Canadian Border in the south (Figure 1).
