Coady JW. 1974. Late Pregnancy of a Moose in Alaska. The Journal of Wildlife Management. 38(3):571-572
On 27 June 1972 a female moose fetus was collected from a 3-year old, 463-kg cow on the Tanana Flats, 20 km south of Fairbanks, Alaska. Development of fetal and uterine tissue appeared normal, including spongy and vascular cotyledons, fluid filled and intact fetal membranes, and blood filled umbilical cord.
