Results of a preliminary qualitative survey of the species composition and condition of the algae community on the reef top at Rose Atoll. Described are the visual characteristics of the area and collected samples of algae encountered in areas adjacent to the spill site and in areas that may have had a lower likelihood of damage by the spill.
