Waterfowl investigations were conducted in the Serpentine River district, with activities concentrated from the mouth of the river to approximately 9-miles upstream, and laterally to the ridges parallelling the river to either side. Field work included banding, monitoring breeding activities, nesting observations, monitoring production, food habits, species composition, and migration patterns. Plants in the area were also collected for identification. Notes on mammals observed during this study are also included.
