A Water Quality Monitoring Strategy (WQMS) has been developed for Pago Pago Harbor, American Samoa in consultation with the American Samoa Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA). The WQMS is intended to provide a frame-work within which future water quality and sediment quality monitoring activities can be coordi-nated and implemented. Long-term and short-term strategies are presented and the most immediate critical action items are identified. Recommendations for monitoring and identification of the most critical elements for implementation are presented in this report.
