This paper describes the need for a hazard location map for the railroad and interstate corridors of the Mammoth Cave area. Methodology and the use of the Geographic Information System (GIS) is explained. Features and potential hazards drafted onto this series of maps are listed. Potential uses of the map are also listed. Mitigation of potential threats are discussed.
