This notice documents the decision to implement a proposed management action which will use strategies of management-ignited fire and hand cutting, piling and pile burning within Dixie National Forest. The author's decision to implement these strategies is based on his evaluation that these management techniques will help change fire behavior, reduce the risk of wildfire to facilities and neighboring park lands, and restore plant communities and wildlife habitat.
