The numbers of freshwater gastropods on Pacific islands and the theory of island biogeography

The freshwater gastropod fauna of the Pacific islands is described in this article. Thirty-eight species were found: 26 species belong to Neritidae; 10 belong to Thiaridae; and one each belong to Assimineidae and Planorbidae families.
