Examines behavioral strategies adopted by Pteropus samoensis and Pteropus tonganus in response to severe resource depletion following cyclonic activity. Field surveys were conducted on flying foxes on the islands of Tutuila and Ofu in American Samoa during January 1993. Feeding observations were recording including locality, time, and the identity of both the bat and food item. Contributes information for determining a long term management plan for flying fox populations within the National Park.
