This article reports the results of a vascular plant inventory of the Washita Battlefield National Historic Site in western Oklahoma. Two hundred and seventy-two species of vascular plants were collected from 201 genera and 62 families. The most specious families were the Poaceae (53), Asteraceae (48), Fabaceae (22). One hundred and seventy-five perennials, ninety-five annuals, and 2 biennials. Twenty-eight woody plant species were present. Twenty-one species exotic to North America were collected representing 7.7% of the flora. Five species tracked by the Oklahoma Natural Heritage Inventory were found. This study reports 205 species previously not documented in Roger Mills County.
