Guide to the geology of the Resurrection Bay-eastern Kenai Fjords area

Nelson SW and Hamilton TD. 1989. Guide to the geology of the Resurrection Bay-eastern Kenai Fjords area. Alaska Geological Society. Anchorage, AK

This guide to Resurrection Bay and Kenai Fjords is based on a series of field trips by members of the Alaska Geological Society. It focuses on the geology of the Seward area and the effects of the 1964 earthquake on it, the geology of the Resurrection Peninsula ophiolite, and the historic fluctuations of outlet glaciers from the Harding Icefield that drain into Aialik Bay, Northwestern Fjord, and Resurrection Bay. The document was revised from an earlier version (see Nelson and Hamilton, 1987) and is intended to be used for conducting guided field tours of the area.
