Excerpts from the Abstract: "Juvenile anadromous salmonid trapping was conducted at two locations in Redwood Creek in the spring/summer of 2004 to estimate juvenile out-migrant population sizes for wild 0+ Chinook salmon, 1+ steelhead trout, 2+ steelhead trout, and 1+ coho salmon using stratified mark/recapture methods. The study also served to describe juvenile salmonid out-migration at the two trap locations in upper and lower Redwood Creek. The upper trap operated 133 nights out of a possible 134, and captured 206,261 0+ Chinook salmon, 128,885 0+ steelhead trout, 16,404 1+ steelhead trout, 1,298 2+ steelhead trout, 4 cutthroat trout, and 8 0+ pink salmon. The lower trap operated 109 nights out of a possible 113, and captured 61,778 0+ Chinook salmon, 2 1+ Chinook salmon, 18,642 0+ steelhead trout, 6,371 1+ steelhead trout, 907 2+ steelhead trout, 37 cutthroat trout, 202 0+ coho salmon, and 69 1+ coho salmon...."
