The report describes findings from a 2005 fish and amphibian survey at 365 permanent and ephemeral wetlands (lakes, ponds, marshes )within the park. The report also summarizes information about an identical study conducted in 2002 on Lassen National Forest, in the Thousand Lakes and Caribou Wilderness Areas. Specifically, researchers collected data on fish and amphibian presence/absence, identification, relative abundance, habitat characteristics, etc. Data was also collected on the presence/absence of fairy shrimp (Order: Anostraca), and reptiles (typically Thamnophis spp).
