2002 Oak Survey of Mt. Wanda, John Muir National Historic Site
O'Neil SE. 2002 Oak Survey of Mt. Wanda, John Muir National Historic Site. Martinez, CA
This survey was conducted on Mt. Wanda in 2002 to assess the composition of the oak woodland by tree size class. The survey included looking for symptoms of sudden oak death on Quercus agrifolia and Quercus kelloggii. The results showed existing oaks in only the adult and seedling stage classes. No sapling oaks were observed on Mt. Wanda. These results are consistent with other finding in California oak woodland.
