An inventory of invasive non-native plants was conducted by Utah State University during 2003 in portions of Hovenweep National Monument, Northern Colorado Plateau Network (NCPN) of the National Park Service. This is the final report for the 2003 study. This report updates and replaces the preliminary report for 2003 inventories. Results of other NCPN park inventories are documented in separate reports. The objectives of this work are to document distribution and abundance of targeted invasive non-native plant species in anticipation of developing effective vegetation control strategies; to identify significant sources of weed introductions and vectors involved in weed spread; and to test and refine data collection and field inventory collection techniques for future NCPN inventory use. A target list of 11 high-priority invasive plant species was identified. Representative photos of species and habitats are included in the report. Voucher specimens of Linaria dalmatica were collected during the study and deposited at Utah State University and at Hovenweep NM. Maps of areas inventoried and weed locations are provided. Of the 966 acres surveyed within Hovenweep National Monument, 14.44 acres were weed infested.
