In 2000, the USGS-BRD (Moab) prepared herpetofauna master lists for all NCPN parks. These lists contained species that are known to occur or are suspected to occur in the park units based on habitats, range distributions, personal knowledge of species distributions as well as established scientific literature and existing park species lists. After this inital preparation, herpetofauna inventories were conducted in 11 NCPN parks, excluding BLCA and CURE. Species lists for all 16 parks were then certified in 2004, prior to the initiation of this project. The goal of this inventory then, was to document the amphibian and reptile fauna of BLCA and CURE, in order to meet species certification standards. Surveys took place in June and August 2004 using a variety of methods. Eleven species were documented; 2 amphibians and 9 reptiles. The final report contains survey dates, times, photographic vouchers and summaries of survey locations and results.
