In connection with the All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory, due to recent fieldtrips in the park 173 new algal species records have been found, of which 75 are cyanobacteria, 77 are chlorophytes, 1 is a rhodophyte, 10 are tribophytes, 1 is a chrysophyte, 2 are synurophytes, 3 are eustigmatophytes, and 4 are dinoflagellates. 291 diatom taxa are also reported from the park, which have not been previously recorded in peer- reviewed publications.
