Rhyacophila celadon Etnier, Stocks, and Parker, n. sp., a large species of the R. nigrita species group, is described from areas in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park based on males, females, and larvae. Females of Rhyacophilia appalachia and R. mycta are illustrated.
