Oceanographic studies were conducted during the months of July and August 1982 in the waters inside and outside Pago Pago Harbor, Tutuila Island, American Samoa. These studies were conducted to analyze transport and dispersion characteristics and oceanographic conditions (physical, chemical, and biological) at and around existing and potential outfall sites within Pago Pago Harbor in order to determine the most suitable location for discharge of treated wastewater.
