Public Law 100-571 was enacted to preserve and protect the tropical forests, archaeological and cultural resources of American Samoa, associated reefs, to maintain habitat of flying foxes, preserve ecological balance, and to provide for the enjoyment of the unique resources of Samoa by visitors from around the world. Public Law 107-336 is an act to extend the National Park of American Samoa boundaries; includes portions of Ofu and Olosega as proposed boundary adjustments.
