Devils Tower National Monument (DETO) was visited twice and Fort Laramie National Historic Site (FOLA) was visited three times during the 2004 field season to inventory butterfly species at the two National Park Service Units. Forty species were encountered at DETO, 8 of which were previously unreported at the Monument, and two ot these represented new records for Crooks County, Wyoming . Twenty-four species were observed at FOLA, with one species representing a new Goshen County record. The field investigators that participated in the project were Paul A. Opler, Ray Stanford, and Matthew C. Garhart.
