The purpose of the report was to examine and to establish a basis for future examination, the coast of California from Point Delgada to Point Ano Nuevo with a view to: (a) obtaining data on shore processes and on shore problems to enable the planning and design of effective protective measurements; (b) determining the possible effects of proposed shoreline developments; and (c) determining methods of maintaining stream outlets.
