This report discusses the results of vegetation surveys and inventories that were conducted at Herbert Hoover National Historic Site. This report details the results of inventories done in August 1999 at the reconstructed prairies at Herbert Hoover NHS in West Branch, Iowa. Long walking transects and 20m permanent plots were inventoried with techniques used on the same sites since 1982. These inventories provide valuable information on the processes of plant succession and effects of burning on reconstructed prairie in Iowa.
