During the growing season of 2002 plant collections were made to document the vascular flora of the reconstructed prairie at Herbert Hoover NHS with voucher specimens of each taxon. In 2000, 85 specimens were collected and processed by site personnel representing 61 taxa and 22 families of vascular plants. In 2002, an additional 130 specimens were collected representing 107 additional taxa and 29 additional vascular plant families. Thirty-four taxa were added to the flora of the 2000 investigation. Twenty-six species noted in 2000 were not collected in 2002. All specimens were deposited at Herbert Hoover NHS in West Branch, Iowa. Nomenclature is according to Eilers and Roosa.
