A follow-up survey to a revegetation project in October 1993 was conducted to ascertain the success of the transplants and revegetation efforts. The area between the lodge and Motel Unit B was revegetated with 5 species: Black sagebrush, Greenlead manzanita, Rubber rabbitbrush, Slender wheatgrass and Ponderosa pine. Ten plots were mapped and monitored for survival rates. The overall success rate after 7 months, calculated by weighted average, was 90.9%. The most successful plants were rabbitbrush and wheatgrass at 100%, while manzanita fared the lowest at 81%. Physiographic differences accounted for success rates between plots. Variables examined included slope angle, slope aspect, rockiness and coarsity of soil and degree of shading.
