In October 1993 ten plots between the lodge and Motel Unit B were revegetated with transplants grown by the Soil Conservation Service. Five species were transplanted, mapped and monitored for survival rates. These included: Black sagebrush, Greenleaf manzanita, Rubber rabbitbrush, Slender wheatgrass and Ponderosa pine.
