A historic resource study on four Washington, D.C. parkways. The report covers the history of parkway design, the historical context for the construction of these parkways and the legislation and construction that created each of them. The study focuses primarily on a survey of historic and existing cultural resources in these four areas before and after their establishment as parkways. Information on historic and present day land use is provided, however.
