This Historic Structures Report for the Henry Gray House at Cape Cod National Seashore contains administrative, historical, and architectural information about the structure, Building Number 19-49. At the time of writing, the house functioned as the residence of the Cape Code National Seashore superintendent. The report includes the Project Construction Proposal for the rehabilitation of the house, including a complete rehabilitation of the heating system. Photographs and measured drawings are attached. This Greek Revival style house was the first private property purchased by the U.S. Government for the park unit. The original house appears to have been moved to its present site from South Truro. The small center section of the house dates from about 1850, and modifications were made through the years as the house had a series of owners. The report sections describe the structure's history and design.
